Free Summer Book Program
Storytelling and books are at the heart of our mission at The Wren's Nest. That's why we are partnering again this summer with The Mayor’s Summer Reading Club (MSRC), a program for children ages birth to five and their families that takes place in various locations throughout the City of Atlanta. Every year, a city-wide book choice is announced for infants and children and provided free to attendees.
Our first event was a great success! There are two more events before summer is over. The next one is Sat. July 26th and the last one is Sat. Aug. 30th. Both begin @10am and include storytelling, a variety of games and of course - a book giveaway!
July 26th includes a kid's book swap so bring books you want to share and make room for some new additions!
August 30th includes a book making activity using recycled /repurposed materials so bring an empty cereal box if you have one. (we’ll have extras on hand too).
Parents and caregivers accompanied by a child are invited to come on down and join for these fun free events!
