Meet the Nest’s Little Free Library

The Wren's Nest proudly introduces the latest addition to our campus: a charming Little Free Library!

The Little Free Library organization began as a heartfelt tribute to a devoted mother and teacher has blossomed into a global mission to build community, inspire readers, and expand book access for all—a cause that resonates deeply with us at The Wren’s Nest.

Our newly established Little Free Library is a scaled-down example of what architects call adaptive reuse. Formerly a 1990s-era newspaper box that once distributed copies of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it was thoughtfully repurposed by local craftsman Maxwell Alexander during our Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service led by Hands On Atlanta. Its connection to our site is serendipitous, as it pays homage to Joel Chandler Harris's tenure at the Constitution and the Nest's history of serving as a local library branch from 1913-1930.

Accessible around the clock, The Wren’s Nest Little Free Library eagerly awaits visitors. Whether you're seeking a captivating read or wish to contribute a cherished book to a new reader, our little library is always open.
